Our Story

Joanne Rumney is an interior designer and the proud owner of Design Loft Interiors of Jacksonville, FL. After relocating from England to Florida in 1992, Joanne worked alongside several industry professionals to further develop her skills and knowledge of interior design before ultimately establishing herself as a business owner.

With more than 30 years of experience in the industry, Joanne is an International Designer with a vast experience in all types of interiors and a wide portfolio of knowledge and projects. Her talent and experience in both residential and commercial designs allow her to offer a unique approach and set of skills to her clients. She values collaboration with the ultimate goal of enhancing the surroundings and lives of her clients while creating the interior they envisioned.

We have been providing premier interior and architectural design services to the Jacksonville area since 1999. Our incredibly talented team of designers includes not only Joanne but Senior Designer Allen Pilton Ruby and Junior Designer Margaret Drake. As professional designers, over the years we have worked on residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. Our design project management services ensure we’re working directly with our clients through sketching and drawing up plans, to full installation and renovations.

Combined, our team has worked all across the world, from New York City, Atlanta, and Miami to several European cities including London and Geneva. We have been fortunate enough to have several of our individual and collaborative works be published in Water’s Edge Magazine, Jacksonville Home Magazine, and Schiffer Publishing. Joanne, Allen, and Margaret have all accomplished a great deal in their careers and always prioritize curating individualized spaces for their diverse clientele.
